With Symphonic Voices,the 2023-24 edition is also an exploration of diverse musical styles, ranging from ancient to very recent compositions. While the June 2023 concert took us on a journey around the world, this season has given us the opportunity to explore our inner world—through music.
With three concerts over two days Songs of the Soul and Immortal Bach, it was possible to explore the movements of the soul—through one, the other, or both perspectives. On one hand, there was the spirituality of Karl Jenkins’ music, composed by the most performed living classical composer in the world. On the other, the music of Bach, which has inspired so many minds.
All cultures seek transcendence, and each of us searches for meaning. Finding meaning in beauty, in a collective, in the shared experience of creating and living together, allowed us to share it—uplifting both the souls of the singers and the audience alike.
