L’The Orchestre du Rhin and the Maîtrise de l’Opéra national du Rhin – Petits Chanteurs de Strasbourg are developing a one-of-a-kind project in France: bringing together an intergenerational and civic audience of amateur and professional singers for a participatory concert-performance: A vos marques, prêts . . . Chantez !
The Goal? A spectacular performance where over a thousand performers, amateurs and professionals, young and old, schoolchildren and parents—are guided by the young voices of the Maîtrise de l’Opéra national du Rhin and by the Orchestre du Rhin under the direction of Luciano Bibiloni. Together, they create an extraordinary rendition of the chosen works, allowing for a multitudinous interpretation. This choral structure engages in dialogue with a cast of top soloists.
This musical project, both accessible and demanding, offers participants a unique experience through performances ofpopular and emblematic works of Western culture. Outstanding professional musicians from the Upper Rhine Valley accompany a diverse audience who, through this performance—and especially through its preparation—have the opportunity to: forge new connections, experience the joy of singing, feel like true artists, balance collective purpose with individual expression.
